My Step Diet allows you to record your steps each day, along with your weight and graphs the result for you to track the progress of your weight loss goal.
Based on the book My Step Diet: Count Steps, Not Calories to Lose Weight and Keep It off Forever by authors Drs. James O. Hill and John C. Peters, this site provides an easy way for you to measure your steps each day. The concept is easy, you must have energy balance the amout of calories you consume each day must be less than the calories burned to lose weight. Many people do not realize how little physical activity they get each day, but with a device called a pedometer its easy to see.
Start by recording the number of steps you walk each day and take the average over 5 days, this is your baseline. Now add 2000 extra steps each day and then eat one quarter less food. The type of food you eat remains the same only the quanity changes. Once a balance is reached then adding extra steps each day will result in addtional weight loss.
Many diets will work over the short term, but this one is proven to work over the long term. Loss weight and keep it off with 2000 extra steps a day.
